Home renovations
in Halton Hills.
Where we
started.
Halton Hills is more than a service area to us. It is where The Dagher Group started, where our most important client relationships live, and where you will most likely find us on any given week. We know the building department, we know the inspectors, and we know which trades work fast in this town.
The town's housing stock is unusually diverse for a community its size. Downtown Georgetown has rows of brick century homes and Victorian farmhouses that have been carefully maintained for generations. South Halton Hills along the 401 corridor has new builds from the last fifteen years that families are now ready to personalize. Acton and Glen Williams hold heritage character on quieter streets. Rural acreages dot the spaces in between.
Each kind of home asks for a different kind of renovation. Heritage updates with proper period detail. New build customizations to break out of cookie-cutter floor plans. Rural projects with their own septic, well, and access realities. We have done all of them in Halton Hills, often in the same week.

Why a local contractor matters.
Halton Hills is a town where everyone knows everyone. Working with a local contractor means working with someone whose reputation walks ahead of them, whose trades show up because relationships matter, and whose work you can stop in and visit.
We Know the Building Department
Years of permit applications, inspections, and approvals through the Town of Halton Hills. We know what they look for, what they reject, and how to get drawings approved without back-and-forth.
Heritage Permit Experience
Many Halton Hills homes are designated or in heritage conservation districts. We have navigated heritage approvals before, know what is allowed, and how to preserve character while modernizing function.
Local Trades and Suppliers
Our cabinet shops, tile suppliers, and trade partners are local. Reduced delivery times, fewer logistics issues, and trades that show up because we have worked with them for years.
Reputation Walks With Us
In a small town, your reputation is your business. Most of our Halton Hills clients come from neighbours and friends of past projects. That reality keeps our standards high.

Common local questions.
The questions Halton Hills homeowners ask us most often before booking a consultation.
Yes. Heritage homes in Georgetown's historic core are some of our favourite projects. Many are designated under the Ontario Heritage Act and require careful permit applications, exterior preservation, and interior updates that respect the original character. We have done several heritage renovations in Georgetown and know the approval process.
Building permits for cosmetic renovations typically take 2 to 4 weeks. Permits involving structural changes, additions, or heritage approvals can take 6 to 12 weeks. Heritage applications go through a separate review process. We submit complete drawings the first time to avoid back-and-forth delays.
Yes. Rural properties in Acton, Limehouse, Stewarttown, and Hornby are part of our regular work. Septic systems, well water, gravel access, and outbuildings are all familiar territory. We handle the additional logistics that rural projects require.
Local trades, local relationships, local accountability. When something needs fixing six months after the project, we are 15 minutes away. When you want to see another job in progress, we can show you. Toronto-based firms charge a premium and are harder to reach when issues come up. We are part of the same community.
Generally similar to slightly lower than Toronto. Material costs are the same. Labour rates are competitive but not deeply discounted. The savings come from logistics and overhead, not from cutting corners on quality. We cost our work to win on craftsmanship, not on being cheap.
Typical lead time is 4 to 12 weeks from contract signing, depending on permit requirements and material lead times. We schedule the design phase first, which begins within 2 weeks of consultation. Build start follows once permits are approved and materials are ordered.
George turned our dull basement into a cozy, livable space. He took our ideas and provided suggestions on how to get the most out of the space. Give him a call. You'll be happy you did.
